« on: July 11, 2021, 03:33:57 PM »
A Notice Posted throughout the Dales

The Hamlet of The Glen, A well respected Dwarven community of the Dales,
requests your support on behalf of Ser Bannor Forgestone, a pious, dedicated servent of Clangeddin and esteemed noble from Mithral Halls.
The Hamlet of late has fallen on hard times, and the wee bairns are going hungry since the mine was overrun with a Kobold tribe.
Ser Bannor will contribute a sum of 5000 gold to the miners lost wages, and implores others to follow suit.
All goodly folks shall be welcomed for a day of singing, dancing, and drinking.
We only ask that you bring and donate foodstuffs, and drinkingstuffs or simply gold for the kind dwarven folk of the Glen.
As a benefit, Ghara the Bard shall perform some old and new ballads, and Pogo Bunions, famed Illusionist and expert in Laughology will be on hand for a riddle contest, and a new game called "Guess whats in my Box"

The event will be hosted on Tuesday, July 27th 7pm central/8pm eastern
Location: The Glen

Any place we can start dropping stuff for these folk? Been running the roads and collecting, just in case. Drow have been out in the daylight! Apparently, they have some new magic rings! So much for "Drow Winter".
What do they need most? Can't eat gold!

If you happen to see Bannor Forgestone you can drop them off with him, but I would prefer gold donations be made at the festivities.  You can buy a large box or satchel from most goods stores and just fill them full with apples, nuts, spirits or other foods and drink.  Bannor can carry quite a bit.

This event has given me so much RP fun so far and we haven't even really had it yet. Spent countless hours looking for herbs and other things that they may need.

Thanks so much for this event! Really great idea!

Hi folks, Just a reminder for the Glen Relief Benefit so bring your fancy attire.  The event is coming up soon at 8pm Est and being held at the town of Glen.  You are not required to bring anything but is greatly appreciated if you do.  If you would like to donate to help the people of Glen donations of gold can be made at the festivities as well as any box or satchel filled with berries, nuts, fruits, vegetable, beer and or wines.  Donations can be made to Bannor Forgestone.

Just wanted to post that the Event was successful and we had a wonderful turnout.  The dwarves got their aid even though they were reluctant to receive it.  Bannor learned much about the Glen Dwarves and how they differ from the mountain hold he is used to.  With a few life lessons learned Bannor now seeks to learn how to live simpler and has decided to spend more time with the Glen dwarves.  He has offered to put up a shrine honoring the Dwarven pantheon which include Moradin, Berronar and Clangeddin.  The shrine will be paid from his pocket and much of the worked executed by himself aswell.  During this time Bannor might also purchase property in Glen as a permanent home during his time in Cormanthor.

Thank you to everyone who showed up it made a big difference.  Aswell thanks to the DMs involved. The dressing and choreography of the NPC's was superb.  Lastly a big thank you to Shug, Whose performances were all very well done.  I hope to have more player events like this in the future time permitting.
