Midsummer Festival [August 7th, 2pm ET / 6pm GMT]
« on: July 02, 2021, 01:57:39 AM »
Midsummer, or Summertide Festival, is a festival that celebrates love and music through feast which is traditionally held between Flamerule 30 and Eleasis 1 on the Calendar of Harptos. It is a time when love advances, and fine weather at this feast is said to bode well for the rest of the year (and likewise a summer storm on this day is a bad omen for all business and pleasure conducted there).

Battledale will, as usual, host a grand public festival in the grounds of Aencar's Keep. Free admission! Put on your best Summer clothes, grab your parasols, and don't forget your questionable mineral-paste sunscreen from the local witch!

Saturday August 7th at 2pm Eastern time / 6pm GMT  (new) Please note the change of date!  (new)

We'll be offering up a series of games (with unique and exclusive prizes!) and flavor throughout the festival.

If you would like to run a stall or stage some kind of performance, please let me know ASAP so we can make sure we give you time and can help with set-dressing or NPCs.

If you would like to use the opportunity for some networking or to have an audience with the Lord, join the Mailed Mantle or Lord's Men, or bring any particular business to the attention of the local churches and dignitaries, please let me know ASAP so we can accommodate you!

Her skin is pale, her eyes are red,
Her leaden voice commands the dead,
To rise and stand beside their dreadful queen.
No mortal power escapes her thrall,
Her hunger will consume us all,
And even now I hear her call: Jolene

Bump. Updated the above post + just a reminder to please let me know in advance if you want to be involved directly in the festival through performances, auctions/shops, faction joining, or other business with NPCs so I can plan accordingly.

I had this marked on my calendar for forever but my mother is getting her vaccine on that friday so I'll be monitoring her on saturday. Only if by some miracle she naps all day could I maybe pop in!

Hey folks, I am going to postpone this to the following weekend (Saturday 7th August) instead of this coming weekend!

Please update your calendars accordingly!

Note that in-character the festival is considered to be proceeding as normal, this is a purely OOC change and should not be reacted to as an IC rescheduling.

This is today!

Also, impromptu performance pieces are welcome :) The stage will be available and you have a backing band at no charge!
