A Contract Signed in Red

Rumour has it that a band of adventurers recently entered the employ of the Red Wizards of Thay in Essembra - particularly for the wizardess Jasira, who is known to be quite the collector and broker of rare and powerful goods.

The group included the paladin Eryka, the orange-clad mercenary Lahire, mister Marshall of Cormyr, Leril the skull-faced tailor, the warrior Dylaan, and the bard Ghara. Gossips wonder what the Red Wizards could offer such a group - some suggest information, others that the Red Wizards as an organization are known for throwing riches and dark magic at their problems and perhaps this group have fallen under such a sway? Either way, the group seemed to complete their contract and then move together to speak in hushed tones beyond the hearing of most folk.

Is something afoot? Are they still working for the Thayans?

Following their trip to Feather Falls, the returning group (and mayhaps some others that they deign to invite) set a meeting at the Halfaxe Ranger Station to discuss what to do about their newfound information.

Alas. Work is back on full time. Can't make meeting. However, Ghara sang this:

The Temple of Leira, Lady of the Mists
Traders in mystery, now abandoned and missed.

Those who venture in, will all espouse,
Evil lies awake, in Mistfall House.

So it happened to be, By the Red Wizards of Thay,
A quest to seek a treasure, and to keep Dragons at bay.

For dragon bones stolen, Lord d'Edoras seeks to know why,
The Thayans seek the answer, in the Coffer of Janshai.

It is a box of the unknown, as things placed within
Have a habit of becoming, unknown in origin.

Bold Heroes went forth, to seek out this Coffer.
Deep in Mistfall House, to see what could proffer.

The Heroes emerged, through fire and flames.
The coffer thus released, a trio of names.

Thayans eyes spy, and lurk in the shadows.
What names will this bring? And who do they oppose?

The answer lay soon, about the land
As warriors,mages,priests, soon gave hand.

The Tale will grow richer, as days pass on by.
And soon we will know the riddle, to the ultimate prize.
