Death of a Necromancer
« on: March 20, 2019, 08:58:05 AM »
Blackfeather Bridge is a-chatter about a happening recently - the nobleman, Baron Eldegar Merothe of Impiltur, and his one-handed daughter, came in search of adventurers to right a wrong. Rumour had it that a wicked wizard had stolen the pretty girl's hand (but not in marriage) and, naturally, her father wished justice.

A group of adventurers led by Gor-Azag including the elves Riparin, Orlpar, and Anna, and the dwarves Shug and Havok, ventured out into the Dun Hills to seek the ruined keep the man was said to have been holed up in, and they eventually returned victorious. Patrons at the Blackwater Stout overheard the adventurers explaining that the rogue wizard had been a necromancer and he had been intent on using the poor girl's hand for some nefarious purpose - perhaps extending his youth in a foul ritual. The stolen appendage was returned and Baron Merothe now returns with his daughter to find a cleric to restore her to full health again.

The Baron publicly stated his great thanks to the adventurers for bringing justice by slaying the necromancer known as Toskolaer the Young.

"Just like old times. Well, except for the torture and all."
